Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue

Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue

The amazing Dannika and Adam married at this wonderful, purpose built Stoke on Trent wedding venue on a cold December day. Being so close to Christmas, this winter wedding was elegantly decorated with beautiful Christmas trees and stylish decorations.

Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue has this ‘calming feeling’ from the moment you arrive, where everything just seems to flow with ease. This can only be testament to the professionalism of the management and staff, which I must add, made me fell very welcome indeed, in turn, making my job so much easier on the day.

~ The Venue ~

Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue is located in a 70 acre estate in one of Staffordshire’s most highly regarded areas of natural beauty. The excitement builds from the moment you and your guests turn onto the immaculate private driveway leading to Foxtail Barns. You’ll make your way through secluded woodland, catching glimpses of the quirky wedding night accommodation as you approach the venue’s private car park.

~ Getting Ready ~

I could tell from the moment I entered the room the girls were totally relaxed, laughing amongst themselves, enjoying a ‘little’ fizz and reminiscing about the recent hen do’s. The spacious, elegantly furnished private dressing room provided plenty of natural light and a cosy homely feel, perfect for getting ready. There’s also a private changing room just off the main dressing room, where you can step away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a moment of calm before the ‘big reveal’.

~ The Ceremony ~

The air conditioned, botanically inspired Orangery is a wonderful setting for a relaxed ceremony, with space for up to 150 guests. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of natural light flooding the room, a big thumbs up for any photographer wanting to capture some amazing shots.

~ The Gardens ~

The quintessentially English country gardens allow for some amazing couple portraits, making it the perfect setting for the couple to take a moment away from the celebrations and take it all in. We took a stroll through the stunning gardens, where I captured un-posed, natural images of the beautiful couple (My Relaxed approach). Had this not been a winter wedding, and not so bloody cold, we would have ventured into the stunning gardens and surrounding lakes, where we were spoilt for choice with the options available.

~ Wedding Breakfast ~

The wedding breakfast was held inside an incredible double-height, vaulted-ceiling party barn. The contemporary, industrial design of this sensational party barn was well thought out. The ‘top table’, situated along the main wall, allowed the newlyweds to see all their guests participating in the celebrations and enjoying the delicious food and drink served to them. The fabulous couple were kind enough to provide me with a meal too, and let me tell you, the food was bloody good! There’s a ‘bar and lounge’ area adjacent to this room, allowing guests to mingle away from the evening party celebrations for that ‘quiet moment’.

~ Rounding Up ~

I had an amazing time shooting at Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this venue to any engaged couples. The relaxed atmosphere, the professionalism of the team, the excellent food, the stunning gardens, along with the fabulous accommodation, it’s got to be the perfect package for any couple.

If you’re planning your wedding, either at Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue or any other venue, i’d love to hear all about it and have the opportunity to be your wedding photographer.
